Conflict-related sexual violence represents a severe human rights violation. While the criminal justice system's response to these offenses has been inadequate in the past, there has been a rise in the need to hold perpetrators accountable for these acts through national and international legal mechanisms. Before Dr. Ajla Škrbić gives her lecture to shed more light on the topic, we will watch The Prosecutors, a documentary that follows three lawyers from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Colombia, as they fight to ensure that sexual violence in conflict is not met with impunity. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion about the documentary and the different questions it raises
