This thesis contains results on the arithmetic and geometry of del Pezzo surfaces of degree 1.In Chapter 1 we give the necessary background, assuming the reader is familiar with algebraic geometry.

Aan de opleidingen van het Centre for Professional Learning op het gebied van Terrorisme, Recht en Veiligheid zijn verschillende (research) fellows verbonden. De fellows geven advies over de inhoud van het curriculum en de verbinding tussen wetenschap en praktijk.

Door het lerarentekort kunnen scholen alle extra handen goed gebruiken. Op het Alfrink College zijn ze dan ook blij dat studenten komen helpen.

Mensen worden steeds ouder. Soms in goede gezondheid, soms zijn er uitdagingen die de kop op steken. Met onderzoek, innovatief onderwijs en co-creatie met oudere mensen werken studenten van de master Health, Ageing and Society aan oplossingen voor deze uitdagingen.

In dit interdisciplinaire onderzoeksprogramma werken onderzoekers uit vijf verschillende disciplines met elkaar samen. Zij stellen zich hieronder (in het Engels) aan u voor.

De educatieve minor is in 2009 ingevoerd als een nieuwe route naar het leraarschap. De instroom van bètastudenten is laag, en ongeveer 20% van de studenten die de minor heeft afgerond stroomt door naar de educatieve master

In this thesis population pharmacokinetic and physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) approaches were applied to investigate the influence of glomerular filtration (GF) and active tubular secretion (ATS) on renal clearance in children.

PLNT The Hague is donderdag gelanceerd, een 'entrepreneurial hub’ waar studenten van Campus Den Haag alles kunnen leren over ondernemerschap. Zij krijgen de mogelijkheid ondernemersvaardigheden op te doen, een netwerk op te bouwen en een innovatieve startup op te richten.

Meer dan twintig studenten kregen op 18 juli een diploma van ALGANT, een prestigieuze tweejarige masteropleiding wiskunde van acht samenwerkende universiteiten. Op de diploma-uitreiking in het Italiaanse Padua blikten vijf studenten terug op hun tweede jaar dat ze in Leiden hadden doorgebracht.

The mission of our group is understanding how science communication works to improve the interaction between science and society. We believe better science communication can improve our society and engage many different groups with science, also improving science.
