On Monday 2 March, the Faculty’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee will host the opening of the travelling exhibition Archaeo‑Sexism in the Reuvenshal at 16:00. The exhibition invites reflection on gender inequality and social safety within the discipline of archaeology and the wider academic community.
The launch coincides with the beginning of Women’s History Month and precedes International Women’s Day on 8 March. It also forms part of a broader programme of activities within the Faculty. Among these is the [s]TATTOO pop‑up studio on 10 March, where members of our community are invited to share personal reflections on experiences of social safety.
This moment aligns with the conclusion of the Faculty’s two‑year cultural change trajectory. The opening therefore offers an opportunity to publicly reflect on how we continue to engage with the lived experiences of students and staff.
