Creative writing II: start writing your book

Monday from 16:00-18:00 h (plus homework assignments)

Docent
Helena Grande

For whom
Participants who have already taken a Creative Writing class with Helena.

Content
This workshop aims to provide continuity for participants who have completed the Creative Writing course and want to delve deeper into their own creative process, find their voice, and begin writing their book. This class takes a purely practical approach with close readings and longer in-depth feedback sessions.

Participants will work on a project of their choice and receive the guidance and tools necessary to develop it. With an emphasis on practice, commitment, and the enthusiasm to continue writing, you will learn the phases of your creative process and how to cultivate your writing practice beyond the class.

This workshop seeks to adapt to the participants’ needs and some of the class content (such as readings and writing prompts) will be decided collectively.

In this workshop you will:

  • Turn your diary, notes, and unfinished manuscripts into a literary project.
  • Receive constructive feedback aimed at refining your project.
  • Continue developing your critical analysis of literary works by doing close readings of published works and those of other participants in the workshop.
  • Continue exploring different writing techniques.
  • Grow in confidence and expand your skills.
  • Be part of a supportive community of writers.
