Free writing in nature

Zondag 26 mei van 13:00-17:00 uur

Docent
Ayana Jung

For whom
Everyone interested in writing and nature! English and Dutch speakers welcome (you are free to write in your own language)

Content
Have you ever wondered what the trees were thinking? Does moss hate the way wind strokes its edges? Do tulips fall in love? In this creative writing workshop we will dive into the secret lives of plants. Through a series of guided excercises we will emerse ourselves in the natural world. Through free writing excercises we will eventually give a voice to the natural world around us. What can plants tell us about the natural world? This workshop is perfect for writers of all levels – from beginners looking to nurture their creativity to experienced writers seeking new inspiration. Anyone with a passion for both nature and writing is welcome!

Inspired by the bestseller book "Braiding Sweetgrass" by Robin Wall Kimmerer

We will visit the Hortus Botanicus during this workshop, please be aware that the entrance fee to the Hortus is not included in the workshop price (9 euros, free for students and Museum card holders).
