Programme Coordinator Advanced Master’s European and International Human Rights Law (0.2 FTE, temporary position starting from 1 April 2024)

This position can also be combined with the position of Programme Coordinator Advanced Master’s International Civil and Commercial Law (0.6 FTE, period from 1 April to 31 December 2024, vacancy number: 14480)

As a programme coordinator, you are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the study programme for International Civil and Commercial Law. This is a challenging and dynamic position, with a lot of room for individual initiative. The position and your work environment within Leiden Law School are strongly internationally oriented.

Your duties include

  • Acting as a contact point for students before, during, and after their studies
  • Admission of applicants
  • Scheduling the programme
  • Organising and coordinating the graduation ceremony
  • Organising and facilitating an information session and plagiarism workshop for new students
  • Recruiting qualified and motivated students: answering questions and providing interested students with relevant information
  • Taking care that the documents required for quality assurance and re-accreditation are delivered
  • Processing and monitoring students’ study progress
  • Maintaining the e-prospectus website, Brightspace, and mastersinleiden.nl
  • Attending and organising social activities and accompanying students on any excursions

What we are looking for

  • You must have at least a university of applied sciences/academic degree, preferably in Law.
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
  • Hands-on mentality, good organiser, flexible and autonomous
  • Can handle stress
  • Experience in a similar position
  • Preferably experience with uSis
  • Demonstrably internationally oriented.
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Service-oriented attitude, demonstrable organisational skills, and pro-active, accurate, and flexible colleague

What we offer
This is a temporary appointment starting from 1 April 2024.
Depending on education and work experience, the salary amounts to a minimum of €3377 and a maximum of €4640 per month, based on a full-time appointment (salary scale 9).

In addition, Leiden University offers excellent employment conditions, including an end-of-year allowance (8.3%), holiday allowance (8%), excellent training facilities, paid parental leave, and the option of making individual choices when it comes to employment conditions. Hybrid working is also possible.
