Prof.dr. Christoph Keller is per 1 januari bij de Faculteit Wiskunde en Natuurwetenschappen benoemd tot hoogleraar Experimental Astrophysics. Keller was voorheen verbonden aan het Sterrenkundig Instituut in Utrecht dat wordt opgeheven.

We simuleren interstellaire wolken met speciale plasma-expansies en chemische reacties op ijzige stofdeeltjes in ultrahoogvacuümopstellingen. Dit levert gegevens die nodig zijn om astronomische waarnemingen te interpreteren en de reactienetwerken in de ruimte te modelleren.
