Aan de hand van de boekenserie General History of Africa (GHA) onderzocht promovenda Larissa Schulte Nordholt wat het betekent om de geschiedenis van Afrika te dekoloniseren. Dat bleek een moeizaam proces, waarbij politiek en financiën voor belemmeringen zorgden. Promotie 1 december.
